Christine Leakey grew up in the 1000 Islands making up songs while surrounded by daily serenades in her family. Within a few weeks of playing guitar, she dove in and formed a short-lived girl band called The Double Feature Creatures and in no time they started performing live. Within two years of obsessively practicing guitar, Christine had already written hundreds of songs in varying music genres from garage rock to obscure tunes, dreamy lullabies, circus ditties and jazz ballads. Christine has shared the stage with many notable performers including Iggy Pop, Ween, Peaches, Junior Kimbrough and more. Christine produces and arranges her own music, designs her own album art and creates many of her own music videos which she releases independently. She has played all the instruments on a few of her recordings but mostly incorporates a phenomenally talented group of accomplished musician friends from the Western and Eastern hemisphere. Her debut solo album, Tapping Trees In A Trinket Box Of Treasure received press globally (notably PRI The World, BBC), has been played on radio and podcasts worldwide. She has sold copies around the globe. Her self-produced second solo album recorded in Los Angeles entitled, Wanderlust Wishing Well features 26 musicians including herself which will be released on March 3, 2017.
